Home Value Estimators Are Now More Accessible to Real Estate Brokers and Agents

Easy-to-use real estate automated value model provides lead generation opportunities and fair estimates for homeowners online

SAN DIEGO, United States - December 7, 2017 /MarketersMedia/ —

Data technology company Home Junction has been evolving its automated value model (AVM) to adapt to changes in the market over the last 20 years. Since the 1980s, the market has changed from a heavy reliance on traditional media, such as print and direct mail, to digital media. As more consumers look to the internet for real estate knowledge and information on local brokers or agents, there is a rise in competition on the web. To get the attention of potential clients, brokers are faced with the task of creating integrated marketing strategies and using media like email, social media, and paid ads to generate and nurture leads.

Home Junction announces the release of its AVM plugin, which can now be installed on a realtor’s website as a WordPress plugin or as a standalone portal on any platform. Though Home Junction’s AVM has been in commercial use for at least two decades, it is now available as a more convenient and affordable option for web use. The tool is designed with easy installation and a smooth user and host experience in mind.

To get an estimate on what their home may be worth, users can input their address into the AVM search engine on a broker’s website and instantly receive a report to their email inbox. They will also be able to manipulate different features of the home, such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The resulting home valuation report will give users a price range and ranking on their home, based on data from public records such as tax polls, recent neighborhood sales activity, and MLS data.

Home value estimator tools are driving factors in lead generation strategies for the modern real estate industry. These engines can be customized to ask for the user’s contact information. Typically, home value estimators will ask for the email address of the person who will receive the report, and it can ask for the name and contact phone number associated as well. This data can give the realtor the information they need to market their services to these potential sellers. For the broker, the AVM will be able to send a daily report regarding its searches. This data can then help brokers convert those website leads into clients through a more targeted marketing strategy.

“Individual brokers and smaller real estate firms can utilize this powerful tool without needing a large investment as required by AVMs of the past,” Home Junction Senior Vice President Ed Kim said. “Providing access to these resources allows realtors to compete on a more level playing field against large, mega-firms.”

With Home Junction’s AVM plugin, more accessible data can be the keys to building up a broker’s reputation and creating an active lead generation marketing program. By reporting on potential leads, brokers can personalize their communications and have a better position when looking at their presence in the market. With a plugin that is easy to install, Home Junction is making home valuation more widely accessible for users and brokers.

Critics see no end to foreign favors to Trump businesses

May 23, 2018

WASHINGTON — First came news that a Chinese government-owned company had signed on to help build an Indonesian project that will include a Donald Trump-branded hotel and golf course. Then, days later, the president tweeted that his administration would ease sanctions against a Chinese smartphone maker accused of espionage. "Too many jobs in China lost," he wrote. Ethics watchdogs and political adversaries called last week's events a blatant case of Trump appearing to trade foreign favors to his business for changes in government policy, exactly the kind of situation they predicted would happen when the real estate mogul turned politician...

Summer driving: Edmunds' picks for Memorial Day car deals

May 23, 2018

Summer is the busiest selling season at car dealerships. The weather is nice, people have more time to shop, and the discounts are attractive enough to get buyers' attention. Dealers also make full use of the summer's holiday weekends, beginning with Memorial Day. Get ready for balloon-decked lots, inflatable eagles and scads of car ads. While Memorial Day is far from a peak bargain weekend, the benefits of shopping now are a wider selection of cars and a better chance of finding a vehicle with the options you want in the color you prefer. Bargain hunters who wait until the...

Godly giants in kilts: Meet Greece's best-known soldiers

May 23, 2018

ATHENS, Greece — It might be the short, pleated kilts, tasseled black garters and pompom-tipped shoes, but there's something more endearing than intimidating about Greece's best-known military unit, the Presidential Guard. Which helps explain why they are one of Athens' most popular tourist attractions, vying for camera clicks with the millennia-old ruins of Greece's Golden Age. All its members are conscripts picked for height and posture — and must demonstrate their godliness by belonging to the Orthodox Church of Greece. Their function is to stand sentry at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and outside the residence of Greece's titular...

May 23, 2018

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. — A hiker in Yosemite National Park fell to his death while climbing the iconic granite cliffs of Half Dome in rainy conditions, authorities said Tuesday. The National Park Service said the accident occurred Monday at about 4:30 p.m. in the Northern California national park. The hiker's body was recovered Tuesday afternoon. NPS spokeswoman Jamie Richards said the man and a companion were scaling the steepest part of the trail where rangers recently installed cables to help hikers to climb the steepest part of the 4,800-foot (1,463-meter) ascent. Richards said the companion was helped from the...
